The goal of Triple Threat Basketball is to make your son or daughter a better basketball player. As your son or daughter gets started with Triple Threat, our initial goal is to get them to enjoy the game of basketball. From there, we work to teach the fundamentals and team concepts of the game. Next, we will progress by teaching the advanced techniques, methods, and strategies of individual and team basketball. Our programs offer a wide variety of activities to help accomplish this.
We feel success is derived through the attainment of goals by both the individual and the team. The higher the goals of the individual, the harder one must work to achieve them. Nothing great is accomplished without a lot of dedication, sweat, and persistence. For athletes, winning equates to fun and thus their joy is achieved through individual success and team victory. A player might find success and self-fulfillment as a rebounder, passer, defender, ball handler, or team leader. What players must realize is that individual success is not related, only to scoring. Each member of a winning team plays a valuable role that is necessary for a team to flourish. We emphasize in all our teaching, the building blocks necessary for team success. We also believe our young athletes should be praised and encouraged - through positive reinforcement, for all of the “little” successes they have, that help lead a team to victory.
Regarding our Club Teams, we expect our players to represent their coaches, parents, teammates, and the Club in a positive manner. We emphasize playing with great intensity, desire, and poise. The greatest compliment we can have put toward us is the claim that “we play hard”. With each workout, team practice, and game, we expect our players to progress and take strides toward becoming a better player.
